60 Years of History

Lois and Alan officially opened Advance Business Systems & Supply Company on July 10, 1964
Alan and Lois taking the show on the road in Advance's mobile Showroom!!
Advance's growing reputation for customer service placed Advance in the fast lane and in 1981, decided it was time to invest in some advertising. The spots were a hit!
In 1990, Jeff Elkin, son of Alan and Lois joins Advance.
In 2002 Advance became the Official Business Solutions Partner for the Baltimore Ravens - an exciting move that allowed them to support the Ravens back-office operations and provided in-stadium signage and branding!
In 2014 Advance built a state-of-the-art Production Print Showroom at our Cockeysville Headquarters.
In 2014, Advance saw a great need with our customers to support IT in their businesses which was the catalyst for Advance entering this arena and the construction of a state-of-the-art IT Command Center at its Cockeysville headquarters. Already making an impact in Managed IT Services, Advance was recognized by CIO Review as one of the Top 20 Most Promising IT Companies in 2018.
In 2015 Advance began its 8 year streak as a Top Workplaces winner!
In 2019, we launched a new initiative to continue our deep history of giving back to the community. The Initiative dubbed, We Live and Believe This Stuff, a play on our iconic tagline, is aimed to make an even greater impact in the community that we've called home for over 55 years.
In 2021, Advance expanded its partnership with the iconic Baltimore Ravens! Advance is now honored as the Official IT Partner to the Baltimore Ravens as well as the Official Suite Level Partner for the games. Come out and see us on gameday!
In 2023, Advance joined Flex Technology Group, the nation's leading provider of Managed Print Services. This strategic partnership allows Advance to retain its unique culture and identity while gaining access to the extensive resources, national footprint, and manufacturer support of a much larger organization.
