COCKEYSVILLE, MD; DECEMBER 5, 2019 – Advance Business Systems has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2019 honor by The Baltimore Sun. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.

“The Top Workplaces award is about much more than recognition and celebration,” said Eric Rubino, CEO of Energage. “Our research also shows that these organizations achieve higher referral rates, lower employee turnover, and double the employee engagement levels. It just goes to show that being intentional about culture delivers bottom-line results.”

As Advance celebrates its 55th year in business, the people continue to be the core differentiator and the most important pillar in delivering exceptional service to customers – Advance’s team just can’t help itself from helping their customers improve their businesses. Advance believes that by investing in the professional and personal development of its team members, it can, in turn, create greater opportunities to provide an exceptional experience for its customers and the community.

Advance is committed to providing employees with an environment that supports work life balance, health and wellness, and professional growth opportunities. Whether it’s helping someone grow professionally through a management development program, or establishing a community service initiative that gives Advance’s 170 employees the opportunity to support causes that they care about, Advance strives to support a positive and engaged workplace for all individuals in the Advance family.

“When Alan and Lois Elkin founded Advance in 1964, they believed that they had an ethical responsibility to do their part to improve the state of their customers’ businesses, their employees’ well-being, and the lives of all those living in the greater Maryland community. Although the world is vastly different 55 years later, this simple idea has never been more meaningful. Today, we define ourselves as a people company with an intense passion for improving our customers’ businesses and enhancing our team members’ lives…and that is more than just a statement, it rings true in everything that we do.  We are incredibly proud of the 170 members of our Advance family and their commitment to our customers.   This recognition is a wonderful tribute to this timeless philosophy,” says Jeff Elkin, President of Advance.
