The BBJ Names Advance a 2018 Best Places to Work Finalist

May 8, 2018

Advance Business Systems has been named a 2018 Best Places to Work finalist by The Baltimore Business Journal. The Best Places to Work lists are based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by Quantum Workplace, a third party research firm. This year’s 40 finalists span multiple industries and cities in the Greater Baltimore area.

The Best Places to Work contest gives organizations the opportunity to compete to be recognized as a place where people love to work. Held annually, Best Places to Work honors superior organizations where voices are heard, cultures are thriving, and employees are engaged. The employee feedback survey is designed to measure employee engagement and other workplace factors such as communication and resources, individual needs, manager effectiveness, personal engagement, team dynamics, and trust in leadership.

Advance has been serving Maryland businesses for 54 years and credits its success and longevity to its most important pillar in delivering exceptional service to customers, its people. Advance is committed to providing its employees with exceptional opportunities for growth, development and success and invests in initiatives that support work life balance, health and wellness, and professional growth opportunities. Whether it’s helping our people grow and achieve excellence through training and development tracks, or a partnership with FX Studios to provide on premise health classes to employees, Advance strives to support a positive and engaged workplace for all individuals in the Advance family.

“When Alan and Lois Elkin founded Advance in 1964, they understood that their mission of providing the greatest customer experience anywhere could only be accomplished by employing the best people in an environment that inspired them to perform to their highest potential each and every day.  Although the world is vastly different 54 years later, this simple idea has never been more meaningful.   We are incredibly proud of the 170+ members of our Advance family and their commitment to our customers.   This recognition is a wonderful tribute to this timeless philosophy,” says Jeff Elkin, President of Advance.
